Two Excellent Options to Pay for Dental CareÂ
Just like general health care, with dental care, when you need it you need it. Cost should not factor into your decision of whether to take care of yourself or not. But, we know it does, because just like general health care, we know it can be expensive. Â
Worse, trying to navigate the dental insurance options can be a real pain. Â
At Shiloh Dental Services, we believe in making quality dental care accessible to everyone, regardless of whether you have dental insurance or not. We work with both insured patients and those who prefer to self-pay. Each option offers its own set of benefits, and we’re here to help you understand what works best for your needs and budget.
Dental Insurance: What It Covers and How It Works
At Shiloh Dental Services, we now accept Cigna and DentalGuard Preferred Select Insurance coverage plans. It can be confusing as to which plans cover what services, but we can certainly help with that. Just call us and we can help you figure it out. Â
To try and lessen the confusion, here are a few things to know about how dental insurance works, and why it might be a benefit to you. Â
Coverage:Â Most dental insurance plans cover preventive services like cleanings, exams, and x-rays at 100%. For procedures such as fillings, crowns, and root canals, insurance typically covers a portion, leaving the patient responsible for a co-pay.
Network Providers:Â As mentioned, we now accept Cigna and Dental Guard Preferred Select plans. This can help you pay less money out of pocket. Call us to see if this coverage applies to you.
Filing Claims:Â We handle the claim filing process for you, submitting the necessary paperwork to the insurance company. This makes it easier to focus on your dental care rather than the details of payment.
Annual Maximums: Keep in mind that dental insurance usually comes with an annual maximum, which is the limit your insurance will pay each year. Once that amount is reached, additional costs are the patient’s responsibility.
Benefits of Cigna and DentalGuard Dental Insurance:
Lower out-of-pocket costs for preventive and essential dental care.
Coverage for major treatments like crowns or root canals.
The convenience of having us handle claims for you.
Self-Pay: Flexible and Transparent
For patients without dental insurance, or those who prefer to manage payments independently, self-pay is a great option. Here at Shiloh Dental Services, this has been our specialty, as many of our customers count on us to provide affordable, quality dental care at a fair price without insurance.Â
Whether you’re in between insurance coverage or don’t have dental insurance, we offer a flexible and proven approach:
Transparent Pricing: We provide clear, upfront pricing for all services, so there are no surprises. You’ll know exactly what each treatment costs before you commit.
SuperBill Option: If you don’t have dental insurance but still want to take advantage of out-of-network benefits, we can provide you with a SuperBill. Call us for more information, as this is a detailed approach you’ll want to fully understand. We can help!
Payment Plans:Â We understand that dental procedures can sometimes be costly. For major treatments, we can work with you to create an affordable payment plan, ensuring you get the care you need without breaking the bank.
Benefits of Self-Pay:
No restrictions from insurance networks or limitations on treatment.
Flexibility in choosing when and how to pay.
The SuperBill option may allow for reimbursement from out-of-network insurance.
Which Option Is Best for You?
Choosing between dental insurance and self-pay depends on your personal situation, dental needs, and financial goals. For routine visits, insurance often reduces costs, but if you’re focused on flexibility and transparency, self-pay could be the better choice.
At Shiloh Dental Services, our goal is to make sure that you receive the dental care you need, no matter which payment method you choose. If you have any questions about how your insurance works or how self-pay can fit into your budget, feel free to reach out to our friendly team.
